TECHNICAL & WORDPRESS SEO

Give your content a website foundation that works.

Useful content needs pages that search engines can discover and people can use. Technical SEO investigates obstacles in that journey, while on-page work makes the information clearer once a page is reached.

I review WordPress websites and turn the findings into a prioritized implementation plan. The goal is to fix meaningful problems and explain their impact in plain language.

THE DETAIL

When a technical review makes sense

A review can help when important pages do not appear in search, a site has changed unexpectedly, internal links point to the wrong destinations, or mobile pages are difficult to use. It is also useful before a substantial website migration or after a redesign.

Some problems are sitewide; others affect a small group of pages. I identify that scope before recommending a fix, so an issue on one page does not become a reason to rebuild the entire site.

THE DETAIL

Crawling, indexing and page discovery

I examine how important pages are discovered through navigation, internal links and sitemaps. The review can include robots directives, canonical URLs, redirects, broken destinations and access problems that interfere with a page’s intended role.

Where Search Console access is available, its reports add useful context. Public checks still help identify visible problems, but they do not provide the same evidence as the owner’s data. I distinguish between what is verified and what needs further access.

THE DETAIL

On-page structure and internal links

Titles, headings, page topics and internal links should help visitors understand where they are and what to do next. A service page needs a clear purpose, an appropriate heading structure and links to genuinely related information.

I look for duplicate or misleading metadata, weak service coverage and contact paths that do not work as expected. The objective is not to insert a keyword into every field, but to improve the clarity and usefulness of the page.

THE DETAIL

Mobile usability and performance priorities

Mobile checks look at readable text, tap targets, forms, image sizing, overflow and the way a page behaves on a smaller screen. These are practical customer-experience issues as well as useful inputs to a technical review.

Performance investigations can include oversized media, unnecessary assets, rendering delays and layout movement. A tool score is a diagnostic signal rather than the whole objective. Recommendations should identify a real bottleneck and a realistic way to improve it within the hosting and builder setup.

THE DETAIL

Structured data and WordPress configuration

Structured data should describe the real page and business accurately. I review relevant implementation and obvious conflicts, including situations where more than one plugin produces overlapping information.

WordPress work can involve SEO plugin settings, page templates, image handling or builder output. The implementation plan respects the existing site’s editing workflow. Where a theme or plugin controls an issue, I explain that dependency before making a change.

THE DETAIL

A practical implementation workflow

The audit separates findings by affected URLs, evidence, likely significance and implementation effort. We agree the fixes that belong in scope and create a recoverable backup before changing important content or configuration.

After implementation, the affected behavior is checked again. Some changes can be verified immediately, such as a working link; search-engine recrawling and indexing take longer and remain outside direct control.

THE DETAIL

What you receive

Depending on the agreed scope, deliverables include a clear issue list, priority order, affected pages, completed changes and a verification summary. Unresolved dependencies are documented rather than described as finished.

Technical work can be scoped separately or included in an agreed Local SEO plan. The amount of work depends on the site’s condition and the agreed priorities; the package does not mean unlimited development.

THE DETAIL

Keep the site manageable after the fixes

A technical improvement should not make routine editing harder. Where Elementor is already used, page content should remain accessible through its normal widgets and controls. Theme styling and scripts have a separate role and should be documented.

To begin, share the website and the symptoms you have noticed. If an owner-only report is needed, I will explain which access would help and why. Please do not send passwords in an enquiry form.

NEXT STEP

Start with the business, then choose the work.

Share your website, Google Business Profile link and service area. I will review the context and explain which problems deserve attention before recommending a scope.
